Success Stories

Each of these stories represent the power of community, compassion and the impact of meaningful support. Through challenges and uncertainty, hope prevails and with a helping hand, families find stability and a path forward. We are honored to play a role in these journeys.

Preventing Eviction: A mother's fight for stability

Earlier this year, a mother of three came to us in crisis. She had paid her rent using cashier's check from her bank, placing it in the apartment complex's drop box as instructed. Days later, her landlord claimed they had never received the payment and issued a three-day eviction notice. She had proof- the receipt for the cashier's check- but disputing the payment would take 90 days, and most of her remaining funds had already gone toward rent. With no time to spare, we stepped in, providing the financial assistance needed to cover her rent and prevent her family from losing their home.

A Christmas Wish: A home for the holidays

Just two days before Christmas 2024, a single father of three walked into our office, weighed down by uncertainty. A truck driver recently laid off due to the weather, he was struggling to make ends meet, falling behind on rent and facing eviction. With little income and nowhere to turn, he shared his desperation - not just for himself, but for his children. Two of them were with him that day, teenagers with quiet resilience, and his daughter expressed one simple Christmas wish: not to be homeless.
Our team swiftly gathered the necessary paperwork, ensuring his family received the rental assistance they needed to stay in their home. But we didn't stop there. We provided them with a warm holiday meal - a turkey dinner- and gift cards to bring a little light to their Christmas. With gratitude in their eyes, the father and his children left, knowing they would wake up on Christmas morning in the safety of their home, surrounded by hope instead of uncertainty.

Support in a time of crisis

On a cold day in November 2024, a young mother arrived at our office, desperate for help. Her car - the only reliable transportation she had to commute to work - had dangerously worn-out brakes, making every drive a risk. With a two year old daughter depending on her and a husband who had been in the ICU for nearly a month, she was already carrying an immense burden. Recognizing the urgency of her situation, we stepped in and covered the cost of the auto repairs, ensuring she could travel safely and continue providing for her family during this difficult time.
